JESNU 2018 Eligibility Criteria and Academic Qualification

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age: There is no upper or lower age limit of the candidate.

Educational Qualification
i. Candidates should have successfully completed or appeared in their Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 system)conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or other  equivalent examination in the year 2018.
ii. Candidate must have pass the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks not less than 100), including English language.
iii. Candidates with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications, must have at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels.
iv. The candidate must secure a minimum aggregate percentage score as given below in his/her qualifying examination in 12th standard.

Note: Candidates should note that for B.Tech (Computer Sc. & Business Systems), BBA (Business Process Management) and B. Com (Business Process Services) courses the total academic gap should not be more than two years.

JESNU 2018 Syllabus of Examination

The syllabus for JESNU 2018 comprise of the 10thand12thstandard syllabus of various any recognised boards/councils.

JESNU2018 Schedule of Examination

Date: 24th June (Sunday)
Duration: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
No further examination shall be held under any circumstances for those who will be unable to appear on the above scheduled date and time.

JESNU 2018 Pattern of Question Papers

The question paper for JESNU 2018 will have 7 (seven) different modules, namely

  1. Basic English
  2. Basic Mathematics
  3. General knowledge/awareness
  4. Social Science
  5. Logical reasoning
  6. Physical Science
  7. Life Science

A candidates are required to answer any 5 (five) modules. If he/she attempts more than five modules then their score in the best five modules will be considered for ranking.

Note: If a candidate does not attempt the compulsory module/s or if he/ she attempts more than five modules and the compulsory module/s is not in the best five modules by score, he/she will not be considered for admission in the respective programme.
For other courses, there is no such compulsory module to be attempted.
All questions paper will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type,with four options against each of the questions. Each module will have 10questions of 2 marks each. A candidate needs to attempt any five modules.

  • Medium of Language: English only
  • Total marks: 100
  • Time allotted: 90 minutes

JESNU 2018 Scoring Methodology

i) All questions will have four answer options each
ii) Only one out of four options is correct
ii) Correct response carries 2 mark each
iv) -1/2 (25% negative) marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
v) For any combination of response with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks
vi) No marks will be deducted for questions not attempted.

JESNU 2018 Tie–breaking Methodology

i) In case of tie, the candidate obtaining less negative score will have better rank.
ii) If tie exists still thereafter, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission with bunching effect.

How to pay JESNU 2018 Fees

Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 500 plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable for appearing in the JESNU 2018.
The Examination Fees can be paid by ‘Net Banking’/ ‘Debit Card’/ ‘Credit Card’. The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.

JESNU 2018 Admit Card

Candidates can generate their admit cards on the notified date from the official website and take a print. Candidate are required to carry a printed hard copy of the admit card to the examination centre.

JESNU 2018 Evaluation and Result

a) Candidates will receive the final results published in the form of Rank Cards, which will contain all relevant ranks and total score. Rank cards will be available only from the portal
b) Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with login id password.

JESNU 2018Counselling/Seat Allotment and Admission

The WBJEEB does notconduct counselling or admission for Sister Nivedita University. The counselling is conducted by the University itself. Hence, the successful candidates are advised to seek detailed information regarding counselling and admission from Sister Nivedita University.
