JENPAUH Entrance Examination for BSc Nursing, BPT, BASLP & BMLT Admission

JENPAUH is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). On the basis of score in JENPAUH seats are offered in following Under Graduate (UG) courses in Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

a) Bachelor of Nursing (BSc Nursing)
b) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
c) Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)
d) Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technician (BMLT)

JENPAUH Eligibility Criteria


Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India
Age: The age of the candidate should at least be 17 years.
  • Upper age limit for BSc Nursing and BPT courses: No upper age limit.
  • Upper age limit for BASLP course: Not more than 25 years.
  • Upper age limit for BMLT course: Not more than 40 years.
Educational Qualification for admission to various courses

i) BSc Nursing (only ‘female’ candidates are eligible): The candidates should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council securing a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A & B, PwD candidates) marks in aggregate.
The candidate must pass in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical, wherever applicable) in each of the subjects.
The candidate has to be medically fit to undergo the course.
ii) BPT: The candidates should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council.
The candidate must pass in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical, wherever applicable) in each of the subjects.
The candidate has to be medically fit to undergo the course.
iii) BASLP: The candidates should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council scoring a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A & B, PwD candidates) marks in aggregate.
The candidate must pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics/Computer science/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Psychology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical, wherever applicable) in each of the subjects.
iv) BMLT: The candidates should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council securing a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A & B, PwD candidates) marks in aggregate.
The candidate must pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and vernacular or any other 5th subject with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical, wherever applicable) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

JENPAUH Evaluation and declaration of result


a) Candidates will receive the final results published in the form of Rank Cards, which will contain all relevant ranks and total score. Rank cards will be available only from the portal www.result.shiksha
b) Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with login id password.

JENPAUH Counselling / Seat Allotment and Admission


The responsibility of the WBJEEB is to only conduct the entrance examination and prepare the merit list.

JENPAUH Syllabus


The tests will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

JENPAUH Exam Schedule


JENPAUH is conducted May/June The timings for the entrance exam are-

Physics & Chemistry: 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
 Biological Sciences: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

JENPAUH Pattern of Question Papers


The test will consist of two papers namely
a) Physics & Chemistry (full marks 100) and b) Biological Sciences (full marks 100).
Each paper will contain fifty (50) questions. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for each paper is 2 hours. The questions will be in both English and Bengali language.
