JEHOM 2018: Under Graduate Hotel Management Admission Test

JEHOM 2018 is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The test score is used for the academic session of 2018-19 for admission to into full time Under Graduate (UG) program in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. On successful completion of coursework Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) Degree is awarded.

Start of Online Application Process: 13 March, 2018
End of Online Application Process: 2 April 2018
Date of Examination: 23 June 2018 (Saturday)

JEHOM 2018 Seat Matrix

The number of seats (tentative) available in various colleges is given below. However, the final number of seat is subject to approval by concerned authorities. Final seat availability for the academic year 2018-19 will be declared by the Board before counselling.

Reservation: Being private self-financed institutes, no reservation of seats is applicable in all the three concerned institutes taking admission in Hotel Management and Catering Technology through JEHOM 2018.

JEHOM 2018 Eligibility criteria

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India
Age: The age of the candidate should atleast be 17 years as on 31st December 2018
Educational Qualification:
i) The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in JEHOM-2018.
ii) The candidate must have successfully completed their 10+2 level examination in regular mode from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or from any other equivalent board scoring a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

JEHOM 2018 Syllabus

The tests will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

JEHOM 2018 Exam Schedule

JEHOM 2018 will be administered on 23 June 2018 (Saturday). This is 90 minutes examination and will be held from 11 am to 12.30 pm

JEHOM 2018 Question Paper Pattern

The JEHOM 2018 paper will comprise of 50 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type questions, with four answer options each. Each question carries 2 marks, full mark of the paper is 100 and duration of the test is 1 hour 30 minutes. The questions will be in English language only.
The paper contains four sections as follows,
  • English Language: 15 questions
  • General Knowledge: 15 questions
  • Logical Reasoning: 10 questions
  • Elementary Mathematics: 10 questions

JEHOM 2018 Scoring Methodology

i) All questions will have four answer options each
ii) Only one out of four options is correct
ii) Correct response carries 2 mark each
iv) -1/2 (25% negative) marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
v) For any combination of response with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks
vi) No marks will be deducted for unattempt questions
How to pay JEHOM 2018 Fees?
Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable for appearing in the JEHOM 2018.
The Examination Fees can be paid by ‘Net Banking’/ ‘Debit Card’/ ‘Credit Card’. The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.

JEHOM 2018 Admit Card

Candidates can generate their admit cards on the notified date from the official website and take a print. Candidate are required to carry a printed hard copy of the admit card tothe examination centre. This is important document and must be preserved till examination procedure is over.

JEHOM 2018 Exam Centres

During online application process, the candidate are required to choose any 2 (two) of the following examination zones.
  1. Kolkata
  2. Durgapur
  3. Siliguri

JEHOM 2018 Evaluation and Declaration of Result

a) Candidates will receive the final results published in the form of Rank Cards, which will contain all relevant ranks and total score. Rank cards will be available from the portal
b) Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with login id password.
