WBJEEB EVETS: BVSc & AH Admission

The EVETS is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). On the basis of EVETS score seats will be offered in Under Graduate (UG) programs leading to the award of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal husbandry (BVSc& AH) in the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science under the West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS).

WBJEEB EVETS Eligibility Criteria


Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India

Age: The age of the candidate should at least be 17 years. However, there is relaxation of the upper age limit by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.

Educational Qualification
  • The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in EVETS
  • He/she has to be domiciled in West Bengal.
  • The candidate should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary  (10+2) examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary  Education (WBCHSE) or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/Council scoring a minimum of 50% (45%   for   SC/ST/OBC-candidates) marks altogether in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with individual pass marks.

WBJEEB EVETS Admit Card


Candidates can generate their admit cards on the notified date from the official website and take a print. Candidate are required to carry a printed hard copy of the admit card to the examination centre. This is an important document and must preserved till admission procedure is over.

WBJEEB EVETS Evaluation and declaration of result


a) Candidates will receive the final results published in the form of Rank Cards, which will contain all relevant ranks and total score.
b) Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.

WBJEEB EVETS Counselling/seat allotment


WBJEEB only conducts the entrance examination and publishes the merit list for B.V.Sc. & A.H. course. The counselling is conducted by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, 68 & 37, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Kolkata – 700 037

The successful candidates are advised to seek detailed information regarding counselling and admission  from the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS).

WBJEEB EVETS Syllabus

The tests will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

WBJEEB EVETS Exam Schedule


EVETS is held May/June. The timings for the entrance exam are-
  • Physics & Chemistry: 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Biological Sciences: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WBJEEB EVETS Pattern of Question Papers


The test would comprise of two papers
i. Physics & Chemistry: 100 marks
ii Biological Sciences: 100 marks
Each paper will have questions. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options.
Duration for each paper: 2 hours
Medium of language: English and Bengali
