Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Uttar Banga Krishi Visvavidyalaya, and Visva Bharati University Shantiniketan offer a variety of courses. B.Sc. Agriculture course is a great alternate to the B.E./B.Tech. Agriculture Engineering program. Plant pathology, Horticulture, agricultural extension, Agricultural Meteorology and Soil Science are some of the areas one can specialise after completing their graduation in Agriculture. Admission to agriculture courses in West Bengal depends upon marks obtained in Class 12 which is minimum 55% in most colleges.
